• Finished my reserve month, and have to say it was an absolute shocker. I did the tour of India with Mumbai, Thiruvananthapurium, Hyderabad, and Cochin , went to Muscat twice, and only had the Shanghai and Sao Paolo layovers to get me through the month (and this is my excuse for the lack of postings/photos on the blog). By far the worst reserve period I have done. Also had 4 Business Promotions, all in Dubai, and 2 of them weren't even worth me getting out of bed as no photos were taken!
• The last layover I did was Nagoya. The flight was soooo easy! 7 passengers in Business going, 10 on the way back. The trouble was trying to stay awake, and to keep boredom at bay, as we're no longer allowed to sleep on breaks. This was made all the more difficult as the flight back was a whopping 11 hrs with a 22.45hr departure time. My layover however was mostly shopping, at Uniqlo, at MUJI, and for a Yukata, which is a Japanese lounging robe. I asked the concierge how much these were, he said around $30-40.00 USD. But the one I bought was more in the $300-350.00 USD range. I guess I'll only be buying one, and it is GORGEOUS! Now only if I knew how to put it on...
• I applied for Airwing, which is the private airline of the Royal Family. I'm crossing my fingers I get an interview. Have also applied for First Class crew.
• I'm going on my leave tomorrow, though I'm not going to say where until I post photos of the trip. Work were so nice though, they gave me 5 days off afterwards. Considering I didn't really want to pay for an extra 5 nights in a hotel, I'm going to fly home instead. I miss home cooking. This means that I only have 10 hours from when I land in DXB to when I fly out to Perth, and when I come back from Perth I have about 18 hrs to wash all my clothes in time for my 8 day Singapore-Brisbane trip. So for the month of May I'll be spending a total of 5 days in Dubai.
