Well guys I thouight it was about time for a blog post. I took the month of October off out of respect, and things have been semi-crazy during November. Went back home after seeing 5 days off in my roster and caught up with a bunch of people, including Traytable. Ended up taking the train to the city every day I was there simply to have poached eggs & sourdough. This month was my top bid month for work, and I got everything I bid for - San Francisco, New York and Nice! At the moment I have Tehran and Nice still to operate, but San Francisco has definately been the highlight of the month! Kris, a childhood friend of mine who I hadn't seen since he moved to Seattle 15 months ago flew in to see me, so it was great to see the city together and tackle the MANY hills SFO had to offer. We even went on a Segway tour. Geeky I know... Next month's roster is certainly a surprise. I was supposed to be on reserve, but I have leave booked, so work decided to push my reserve back to January so I do 35 days like the rest of the fleet do. Not that I'm complaining - I scored New York, Bangkok, plus a Johannesburg on Christmas Eve which I'm certainly going to swap to a South African. Only problem is that flights home are fully booked for when I want to go on leave, so we'll see how things pan out. Cross fingers :-) Anyway, I thought I would share these pics with you guys. A couple of months ago I went to Paris for work, and since it was a Sunday all my usual hangouts were closed, so I took my Holga and my newly aquired Mini Diana round the city. The mini didn't yield many good shots, so here are the Holga shots, with cross-processing done at Vanbar in Melbourne. Enjoy! One of my fellow Perth collegues recently posted the following as his FB status. I really hope he's not making it up, because it was so hilarious, and inconceivable, yet having dealt with a few crazies (in amongst a large number of brilliant passengers!) over the years, I do believe that this can actually happen.DXB to KRT. VR1. Economy class seat. 38E! Not on aircraft! Disappeared in passenger luggage! Action: Apologised to 39E for not having an IFE system!! VR Raised. Reply required: YES. Where the fuck is my chair!!!!!!!!!!!!! Reply. Confirm 38E Missing, item is for sale on ebay!!(seat numbers and other info changed to protect author)Yet another day at the office...
