Sunday, March 28, 2010So I've finally bitten the bullet and bought myself a point-and-shoot digital camera. A beauty it is too - Panasonic Lumix DMC LX3 with a Leica lens worth the cost of the camera. I bought it in New York at B&H Photo, but since the batteries needed 2 hours to charge I didn't really have time to make multiple treks as well as to take a tour of the city. Next time perhaps.
So my last layover was Frankfurt and whilst the weather was still nice I took a few shots in the city. Enjoy!
Borse - Frankfurt Stock Exchange building. The street next to it was lined with markets, bought some very yummy strawberries and raspberries :-)
View from Romerberg.
Frankfurt Town Hall. Lots of weddings happening here, there were about 3 in one hour!
Dom, aka. St Bartholomeus Cathedral
St. Paul's Cathedral
Some random standing guard outside the Historical Museum
Eisener Steg - Iron Bridge
View from Eisener Steg
Dreikönigskirche - Gothic revival church
So after these shots were taken the weather went from half decent to majorly overcast to downright pouring with rain and windy. Was so soaked by the time I went back to the hotel :-(
Next up is Colombo, though I doubt I'll be doing very much, probably going to use the layover to check my accounts, tally receipts and read some books. Boring I know!
